I just love this proposal at the Ranch in Laguna Beach. I’ve always loved this location and when Harrison reached out saying he wanted to propose here I was thrilled! Photographing a proposal is one of the most exciting things to capture. There are so many factors that go into planning the perfect proposal and not everything goes as planned. On this specific day we had no cell service down the canyon so we had no idea when Harrsion was going to be approaching. Thanks to some fast reflexes and a gorgeous location Harrison asked Emma to marry him, and she said yes! The began their evening taking stroll through the The Ranch Laguna and ended up at a celebration dinner that Harrison had planned with close family and friends.

If you are planning to propose there are a few things to think about before asking the big question. If you are planning on someone proposing to you, share this blog with them so they can get the hint 😉

A few things to think about:

• Do you want a photographer?
• What type of location do you want to propose at (Beach, park, etc)
• Is there any significance to the location or the date?
• Are you wanting it to be just the two of you?

If you can, ask your photograph to do a walk through of the location so you can plan out all the senarios. Or even better, have a friend with that can go ahead of you and set things up, so when you arrive you have everything as it should be.
