Matthew and Allie’s La Ventura Wedding was perfect. When their first wedding in banff got canceled due to the pandemic, they had to changes plans a bit. Not only did their wedding turn out better than imagined, they had the love a a few close family and friends there to support them.
They kept getting ready very simple, just close family, so they could enjoy more time with their guests later.
Allie’s taste in details were dreamy. She had three different ring box options and plenty of gorgeous details to photograph. Detail photos are a top priority for her. My favorite detail was the charm that she had made for her dad who was no longer with them. I was tearing up photographing it.
Allie’s wedding gown was like one I had never seen before, and it fit her so perfectly. I could have photographed her dress all day!
The Wedding Ceremony Details
The ceremony set up was flawless. Flowers everywhere, including on the hexagon arch!

The Romantics
Matthew and Allie chose to do a first look so they can have more time with their guest later on. It truly was such a sweet moment.
The Wedding Ceremony
Couples always tell me that they don’t want to do a first look because they feel like the emotion won’t be there. I’m here to tell you, that isn’t the case. If that is the only thing holding you from doing a first look, I’d urge you to reconsider. It’s a beautiful moment, and almost always the emotion is still just as sweet.
